Jason Riley

Date: February 10th, 2015

Time: 10:00 AM

Location: Claudia Crosby Theater, Smith Hall (Troy University Campus Map)

Jason Riley is an Editorial Board Member of The Wall Street Journal and a Fox News contributor. Mr. Riley will give a talk based on his recent book, Please Stop Helping Us. His book explores why so many liberal efforts, such as welfare programs, unions, and the minimum wage, intended to help the black underclass, have not only failed, but made it harder for blacks to succeed.

A book signing will take place after the presentation in the lobby of Claudia Crosby Theater. Books will be available for sale at the event.

"On issue after issue, Please Stop Helping Us cites facts to destroy propaganda and puncture inflated rhetoric. It is impossible to do justice to the wide range of racial issues — from crime to family disintegration — explored in this book. Pick up a copy and open pages at random to see how the author annihilates nonsense."
