Economics Open House for High School Students

The Department of Economics, Finance and RMI invites you to an Economics Open House at Troy University. Come interact with Economics faculty inside and outside a classroom setting for a day. Get a feel for what it’s like to study and major in Economics at Troy University!


Dr. Michael C. Munger

Dr. Munger is the Director of the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics program at Duke University.  He is the author of over 150 publications in scholarly journals and popular publications and is the author of seven books.  


Dr. Emily C. Skarbek

Dr. Emily Skarbek is a Lecturer in Political Economy at Kings College London.  Her research examines the role of voluntary associations in solving complex public goods problems after natural disasters.  In 2014, she won the Gordon Tullock Prize from the Public Choice Society for her work on the Chicago fire of 1871.


Dr. David B. Skarbek

Dr. David Skarbek is a Senior Lecturer in Political Economy at Kings College London.  His research explains the operation of informal institutions within prisons globally.  His book, The Social Order of the Underworldwas awarded the William H. Riker Book Award in Political Economy from the American Political Science Association.
