About MBA, MBAi and EMBA Capstone Assessment

This information has been updated for 2015-2016.

Internal Capstone Essay Exam

There is a common computer-based assessment to be administered in (E)MBA(i) 6611. The information for instructors can be found in Blackboard in the SCOB Curriculum Development and Assessment organization.

This exam is administered in the course shell.

(E)MBA(i) 6611 instructors who do not currently have access to the group within this organization should send a request to Sven Aelterman.

ETS MFT

No changes from previous years related to administration.

Draft documentation on administering the MFT is available.

Please direct questions about the MFT to Dr. Wendy Bailey.

Internal Capstone Multiple Choice Exam

For AY 2015-2016, the administration of the traditional, 100 question capstone exam will continue.

This exam is specific for each MBA concentration and is administered in centralized Blackboard shells. This means that all students are enrolled in a shell based on their MBA concentration and not based on their class enrollment. The names of the Blackboard shells reflect the concentration:

  • CAPSTONE-MBA-ACT
  • CAPSTONE-MBA-ECD
  • CAPSTONE-MBA-FIN
  • CAPSTONE-MBA-GM
  • CAPSTONE-MBA-IS

MBA capstone course instructors are enrolled in those courses so they may retrieve their students' grades.

Instructors should not make any changes to exam settings, such as availability, passwords or randomization of questions.

Updated 2014-02-19: This MBA capstone exam no longer requires a proctor. Passwords have been removed from the exams.
