Track Chair Guidelines
Acknowledge papers immediately upon receipt.
Solicit reviewers.
Read each submitted paper and forward to appropriate reviewers.
Have each submission reviewed by at least two reviewers. As Track Chair, you may also perform the responsibilities of reviewer.
Remove title page and any identifying information from file properties before forwarding submitted papers to reviewers. These are to be “blind” reviews.
Have reviewers enforce formatting guidelines.
Enforce the submission and review schedule.
Keep adequate records of the submission and review process (use Track Chair recording form).
Accept or reject papers based on reviewer ratings and comments.
E-mail acceptance/rejection/modification decisions to authors according to the established schedule.
Designate session chairs and discussants; notify Program Chair(s) of selections.
Review revised papers for appropriate format prior to submission to Proceedings Editor.
Forward revised papers (final copy) to the Proceedings Editor by the scheduled date.
With consideration to reviewer ratings and consultation with track reviewers, designate the best track paper and inform Program Chair(s) of selection for consideration for the Best Faculty/Practitioner Award.
Identify the best reviewer for your track and inform the Program Chair(s).
