Temporary or Conditionally Admitted students are limited to 9 semester hours. If
you are at all uncertain about which courses in which to enroll, see your advisor.
An applicant will be admitted unconditionally if the applicant meets the following
criteria:
- A masters degree or higher from a regionally accredited university.A Bachelors degree
from a regionally accredited college or university; and
-
- has on file with the University a satisfactory graduate admission exam score (GMAT,
GRE, MAT)
- at least 2.5 GPA on all undergraduate work or at least 3.0 GPA on the last 45 quarter
hours or 30 semester hours and score at least 500 on GMAT or 33 on MAT or 900 on
GRE (verbal and quantitative).
Students with a bachelor's degree in a field other than business will be required
to complete the following courses or their equivalent prior to enrolling in a graduate
business course:

OR, For students not holding an undergraduate degree in a business discipline, the following
four 5500 level foundation courses or their undergraduate equivalent must be completed
prior to enrolling in any 6000 level MBA course. This requirement also applies to
students either holding an undergraduate degree in business earned more than eight
years prior to the first term of enrollment or holding an undergraduate degree in
business earned from a college/school of business not accredited by the AACSB or
the ACBSP.

For the accounting option, students with a BS degree in a field other than accounting
will be required to complete the following courses or their equivalent:
A student not satisfying the graduate admission test or GPA requirements for unconditional
admission may be conditionally admitted to the program. Students must clear their
"conditions" by the end of 12 semester hours. See the Graduate Bulletin for specific
requirements.
Prospective students who are not citizens of the United States are also required
to submit:
- a satisfactory TOEFL score, and
- detailed statements of financial status showing that adequate financial resources
are ensured.
All students must submit transcript(s) with the degree posted from all universities
attended for admission to the program.
[NOTE: If your degree is from a non-U.S. institution, it may take up to six months
to determine if the degree is equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree. If this
applies to you, contact the TSU graduate program office at least six months prior
to your anticipated start-date.]
