On Thursday, February 12, 2004, General James Sehorn--a TSU alumnus--was on campus to speak in the Sorrell College of Business Speaker Series. The event took place at 10 a.m. in the Adams Center Theatre. General Sehorn (USAF retired) holds the new position of Inspector General recently created by the Governor of Georgia to ensure that tax revenues are used effectively and efficiently.

General Sehorn spent 33 years in the USAF, including 5 years of that time as a POW in Hanoi after being shot down in a jet fighter. He credits his strong Christian faith with getting him through the POW experience. Given the current situation in our country, with so many lapses in ethical conduct and integrity, and with so many issues being politicized, General Sehorn could have a profound impact on our students. He, without a doubt, places principle above principal.
