As the Technology Leader of the Cedar Springs containerboard mill, you will primarily be responsible for the following:

  • Develop MBM® capabilities in Information Technology staff.
  • Strong advocate of safety, health and environmental initiatives and performance in organization.
  • Overall reliability for IT at the site and leadership of IT resources.
  • Advance innovation, optimization, and automation to support Factory of the Future/Digital Transformation
  • Account manager for all aspects of IT services and applications, promoting adoption where possible.
  • Continuously looking for opportunities to utilize new and emerging technologies to optimize the value MES & Supply Chain solutions can bring.
  • Participation on the mill leadership team and leading IT strategy.
  • Develop five-year Cedar Springs IT plan and align with management.
  • Maintain the IT Plan in accordance with mill five year plan.
  • Ensure documentation standards are being used to capture and share knowledge.

  • Managing all local IT activity and ensuring it is aligned with the business vision and strategies.
  • Working directly with key operations and business leaders to automate and optimize processes
  • Experimenting with new technologies and solutions, enhancing our knowledge of innovation and opportunities. ~ (ex. IoT sensor data to AWS cloud with API to PI ProcessBook)
  • Leading local IT team, consistently staying up-to-date with and connecting IT employees with how they enable GP to create value.
  • Connecting local Mill Leadership Team (MLT) to IT vision and strategy.
  • Understanding and promoting awareness & adoption of leveraged applications and services.
  • Developing and gaining buy-in for a comprehensive IT roadmap at the local site.

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in information technology field
  • At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience developing and communicating vision and strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience or education developing applications.
  • Analyst experience gathering customer ideas/requirements and translating into effective solutions.
  • Previous work with data analytics and/or Internet of Things.

Job Tasks:
Use Excel to create a series of reports, which will give an accurate and timely information to senior management. Create Excel spreadsheets for Profit and Loss statement, Mileage Reports, Costs Reports and Fuel Tax reports. Data input will come from QuickBooks, E-mail reporting system, Fuel tax report (for state mandated reporting) and the current standardized trip/mileage reporting system. Must be able to enter data accurately. Create linkage for automated data pull into reports.

East Central Mental Health: Temporary Part-Time Information System/Computer Technician:

Prefer someone pursing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Information Technology.  Experience or training in multiple computer programs.  Temporary position will last at least 11 to 12 months (if not longer).

Some of the duties include the following:

  • Assist Business Manager/System Manager with multiple IT projects.
  • Will be one of the contact people for video conference issues and other electronic devices. 
  • Will be one of the contact people for issues with the electronic medical records program and OrderConnect (e-Prescribing Program). 
  • Will place new computers and printers at program sites.
  • Will run several reports for the agency.
