Formative Assessment Guidelines for QM 2241

  • The exam consists out of 40 objective-type questions.
  • The exam is closed-book, closed-notes.
  • The time limit is 2 hours.
  • Questions will be presented one-at-a-time.
  • Students will be able to return to previous questions (i.e. backtracking allowed).
  • No electronic devices, other than a handheld calculator, are permitted.
    • For exams administered within the LockDown Browser, the LockDown Browser contains a built-in basic calculator that will be available from the toolbar once the exam has started.
    • For exams administered outside LockDown Browser, the student can use the basic version of the Windows or Mac OS calculator only.
  • There is a list of approved calculators, see below.
  • Phones, tablets, and other multi-use devices may not be used as a calculator and may not be used at any time during the exam.
  • Students are allowed to use scratch paper during the test. All scratch paper must be destroyed after the test.
  • Statistical tables appropriate for the course and a summary formula sheet will be provided as an electronic file.

Casio fx-260 Solar / Solar II / Solar School Calculator

Any basic math desktop calculator with or without a square root key.

Texas Instruments TI-36X Pro Engineering/Scientific Calculator

TI-83 Plus or TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculators

Most Casio or Sharp calculators, due to programmability
